Hi all! Today I’m posting my blog’s first recipe! Put a little soul into your dinner with this recipe for my mom’s greens. Just a note: some ingredients do not have precise measurements/instructions. My mom is a pro and kind of cooked by taste. Does that […]
In-N-Out is good, Five Guys is great, but let me tell you about Stacked!
A few weeks ago I went to Stacked at Fashion Valley for the first time with some friends for lunch. When I walked in I immediately loved the atmosphere. It’s dimly lit, very spacious, has a full bar, and has several tvs around the walls so you can easily watch the game from various locations. Even though the restaurant was buzzing it still somehow had an intimate vibe to it.
When you’re seated, your host asks you if you’ve visited before. If you haven’t yet had the pleasure, they proceed to explain their lovely IPad ordering system! There are traditional menus at every table for you to peruse but you do all your ordering on your table’s IPad. You may choose your drinks first and click the “send order to kitchen” button so that you can sip while you decide what to eat. Trust me, it’s going to take some time!
Here they offer burgers, salads, mac and cheese, and pizza. Now, why do they call it Stacked you ask? Because you can stack anything and everything on your choice of food! You can either indulge on a listed menu item or you can create your own! For example, if you decide you want to create your own burger, you are able to scroll through an extensive list of what I’ll call “burger parts”.There are a variety of buns, cheeses, toppings, and sauces to choose from.
Everything from Brioche buns to peanut butter (yes I said peanut butter).
I opted to create my own burger and as you can see my burger is STACKED! I started off with a Brioche bun and Angus beef. For my toppings I piled on Applewood bacon, pickles, grilled onions, onion strings, Roma tomatoes, dark green lettuce, and their Signature Stacked sauce. It was the best burger I’ve ever had (save for Burger Lounge). The Brioche bun was light, fluffy, and sweet and the onion strings were crispy and also had a subtle sweetness. The patty itself was extremely juicy and flavorful. My burger was so big I had to squish it just to bite it. Even so, I ended up using a knife and fork.
All in all myself, my friends, and family enjoyed our burgers. We also tried the chili cheese fries and the spinach dip which were just as delicious as the burger. If you have room (which we didn’t) try their shakes, sundaes, and ice cream sandwiches which are also “customizable”!
Until next time food lovers!
Side note: I’m slightly ashamed to say, I enjoyed my meal so much that I went back the following week with my mom and then the week after that we went with my dad. It’s just that good.
