Guys can we talk about ramen for a second? I’m not talking about Cup of Noodles or any of the other salt laden junk that we college students live on. Okaaay I love the salty junk! We all do! Ramen makes up like 40% of a college student’s diet. Buuut I think sometimes you need to treat yo self (Parks and Rec reference. Anyone?) and get the real deal. My favorite PSU spot to indulge in shall we say the finer ramen, is Tadashi. Tadashi is an adorable little Japanese restaurant. The atmosphere is very intimate; dimmed red lighting and seating for only about 20 people. The music…for some reason they’re always playing Big Sean and Lil Wayne. Don’t ask me, I’m just as confused as you are!

Now, on to the food! I usually come here with my boyfriend and we always start out with the Gyoza. Gyoza is a pan fried dumpling, in this case filled with pork.
Next we shared a Shrimp Tempura Roll.

We finished off our meal with 辛い味噌ラーメン (Spicy Miso Ramen).
This ramen includes BBQ pork, bean sprouts, bamboo shoot, egg, onion & scallion. Yum! The cool thing is that unlike the other ramen choices on the menu, the soup is separate from the ramen itself (see first picture). Sooo that means that you get to pour the soup and all the goodies in yourself! I don’t know why I find this so fun. I’m easily amused.
The food never ever disappoints but for me, the star of the meal is definitely the ramen. The pork is cooked to perfection and that soup. Laaawd have mercy that soup! Spicy, pepperish, just absolutely tantalizing. I wish I was more versed in Japanese cuisine so that I could better explain the flavors but just trust me on this. The ramen was poppin’. And the aroma. Seriously, I just kinda stuck my face in my bowl and just inhaled all that ramen-y goodness. In a word, perfection.
Until next time food lovers!
Yes! Treat yo’self is my philosophy in life. Haha. Looks delish. Hope you enjoyed yourself!
That’s a great philosophy haha! I definitely enjoyed myself! 🙂

Aww thank you so much, I love your blog as well! You seriously made my day ❤
I love Ramen. Unfortunately there aren’t too many places that serve Ramen where I am!
I love ramen too! And I know how you feel. There are only a few ramen places in my college town. But not to worry, soon I’ll be putting up a post about how to make your own bomb ramen so stay tuned! 🙂
